1700C Split Tube Furnace with Flanges & Valves, and 60mm Tube - OTF-1700X-UL

OTF-1700X-UL is UL/TUV standard split-able alumina tube furnaces with MoSi2 Heating Elements. The furnace can accommodate 60mm O.D high-quality alumina tubes along with a pair of smart stainless steel vacuum sealing flanges that features needle valves and vacuum gauge. Such configuration allows sample heat treatment under vacuum or flowing gas conditions up to 1700°C. The precise temperature controller can provide 30 segments of heating and cool with +/- 1°C accuracy.

  • The splittable design provides easy access to the tube replacement
  • Double-layer steel casing with air cooling to ensure a low surface temperature < 60°C
  • High purity fibrous alumina insulation for Max. energy saving
  • The special refractory coating on the furnace liner and heating element to increase furnace life
  • Two sets of fibrous ceramic tube blocks are included for blocking heat radiation from inside the tube. (Ceramic blocks must be fully inserted into the furnace chamber before heating)

  • Default DB9 PC communication port (PC control module and software are sold separately. 
Optional:
  • MTS-02 PC control module (also including cable and software) is an add-on option for PC control
    • It is recommended to purchase the module together with the furnace. We install and test it before shipping
    • It is recommended to purchase the laptop (with software pre-installed) from us to avoid software confliction
    • Please note the module is not sold solely in the future

Vacuum Sealing
  • Two stainless steel flanges with vacuum gauge and valves. 1/4" pipe and KF25 adapters are installed in two ends respectively.
  • For a fast & better vacuum, suggest you use stainless steel pipe ( click to order at extra cost ), as well as digital vacuum gauge. 
  • Two pairs of fibrous ceramic tube blocks are included for blocking heat radiation from the inside tube. (Ceramic blocks must be fully inserted into the furnace chamber before heating)

Warnings

  • NEVER open the furnace lid at temperature >100°C, doing so may thermal shock the processing tube and cause cracks. 
  • The tube furnaces with alumina tube are designed for use under vacuum and low pressure < 0.02 MPa
  • Never use graphite crucible in the alumina tube.
  • Attention: A two-stage pressure regulator must be installed on gas cylinder to limit the-the pressure to below 3 PSI for safe operation. Click here to learn the installation of a gas regulator. 
  • Never heat the furnace while the gas release valve is closed and a positive pressure condition exists within the furnace chamber. The pressure gauge must be used to closely monitor the chamber condition at all times during the heating process; please open the gas release valve immediately once the chamber pressure has reached over 3 PSI to prevent unforeseeable damages.
  • .The flow rate for gases should be limited to < 200 SCCM ( or 200ml/min )
  • Vacuum pressure only is safely used up to 1500°C for alumina tube
