1200°C Max Vertical Sliding Furnace with Fast Heating/Cooling - KSL-1200X-J-Q

KSL-1200X-J-Q is a 1200ºC max. Multi-functional lab furnace. It has a heating chamber of 6"x 6"x7" as a box furnace and can be used as a vacuum tube furnace with an optional 2” and 3.1" OD quartz tube with a flange that can be inserted from the top of the box furnace. A quick-moving mechanism is installed in the back of the furnace, which can insert the vacuum-sealed tube into the heating chamber for fast heating and lift the tube for fast cooling to quench the material.

Heating Chamber of Box
  • 150mm(D) x 155mm(W) x 180mm(H), ( 6"x6"x7")
  • Capacity: 4.2 Liter or 0.44 cubic ft
  • Working Temperature: 100-1200 °C continuously in air or inert gas . ( 1000oC max if vacuum )
  • Heating rate: 30°C/ min.
  • Temperature Stability: +/- 1.0 °C
  • K types with Ceramic Sheath
 Processing Tubes


( 50 mm or 80mm tube & KF flange)
  • 2 ", or 3.1" on-end closed quartz tubes with flange can be inserted into the heating chamber to treat the sample under a high vacuum or controlled atmosphere. Please choose from the product options bar.
    • 2” tube size: 50 OD x 44 ID x 263 L (mm)
    • 3.1" tube size: 80 OD x 73 ID x 263 L (mm ) 
  • KF16 port is built-in the flange to connect a digital vacuum gauge
  • 1/4: The gas inlet and needle valve is included for connecting the gas tank
  •  YOu may need to order a vacuum valve (Pic. 1), the vacuum gauge (Pic. 2), bellow (Pic.3), and optional a mechanical vacuum pump (Piv. 5) or turbopump (Pic. 6) as below:

Temperature Controller

  • Proportional–integral–derivative control (PID control) and auto-tune function
  • 30 segments programmed with ramping, cooling, and dwelling steps

  • +/- 1 ºC temperature control accuracy
  • Default DB9 PC communication port with software for PC operation
Moving Mechanism for RTP
  • The moving mechanism is installed on the back of the furnace to insert or lift the vacuum-sealed flange for fast heating or fast cooling.
    • For fast heating: Preheating box furnace, then insert the quartz tube into the chamber (~ 1ºC/S)
    • For fast cooling: Lift the heated tube to the outside heating chamber and blow cool air ( ~ 1ºC/S )
