Fast Heating & Cooling Vacuum Sealed Furnace (1100°C 2" I.D.) - VBF-1100X-Q

VBF-1100X-Q is a 2" ID vacuum tube furnace with the function of fast heating and cooling ( optional water quenching ) for heat treatment of air-sensitive materials. The sample will be placed inside half opened and vacuum-sealed tube, then insert into the pre-heated furnace to achieve fast heating (~ 10oC/S ). After treatment, the tube will be raised up automatically, then insert into an ice tank for quenching ( quickly cooling ). This furnace was designed for LPS powder and can be used for quenching all material under vacuum or controlled atmosphere

  • 1500 W max. 
  • Note: Power cable included but without the plug. Please install a plug on your own or click the link below the picture to choose a plug according to your country or your lab requirements


Working Temperature

  • <= 1100°C continuously
  • Max. 1200°C, < 30 minutes
  • Temperature Uniformity: +/- 2°C

Heating Chamber

  • The heating module is made of Ni-Cr-Al resistance wire with a fibrous alumina insulating layer.
  • Quartz tube has a dimension of 50mm O.D. x 44 I.D. x 263 H, mm)
  • SS304 vacuum flange with KF25 Vac. port with valve and gas inlet &outlet valves 
  • Quartz thermal block is included
  • Mechanical vacuum gauge is built-in
  • Vacuum level: 10-6 torr by turbopump and 10-3 by rotary pump and 10-5 torr by a turbopump

  • Tube furnaces with quartz tubes are designed for use under vacuum and at low-pressure < 0.2 bars 
  • Attention: A two-stage pressure regulator must be installed on the gas cylinder to limit the pressure to below 3 PSI for safe operation.
  • A maximum temperature of 1000°C should be imposed on all quartz tube furnaces to avoid the quartz tubes undergoing deformations under vacuum.
  • The flow rate for gasses should be limited to < 200 SCCM for reducing thermal shocks
