Mini Arc Melting Furnace (185A, or 160A) - Vacuum Casting - Glovebox Compatible - SP-MSM130

SP-MSM130 is a mini-arc melting with/without vacuum casting furnace, which can be placed inside a glovebox for air-sensitive materials. It is a smart and compact tool to melt air-sensitive alloys, refractory metal tube seals, and vacuum casting. With additional add-ons, it can also be used outside of the glovebox as a conventional arc melting and vacuum casting furnace.

SPECIFICATIONS:

 Features

  • A water-cooled copper hearth has 4 small cavities for alloy melting of  4 x 8 g up to 3500ºC max
  • The central tube holder allows refractory tube seals, such as Ta, Nb, and Mo.
  • 6.6 " ID (168 mm) quartz chamber for observation and protection.
  • Easy electrode tilting and height adjustment
  • Compact footprint: can put in a standard Ar gas glovebox with a purification system
  • The power cable and water feedthrough will be provided for the glovebox version.
  • Vacuum suction casting 4 mm Dia. The sucking force is generated by evacuating the bottom of the cold copper casting mold. This results in rapid solidification of the melt which is ideal for reducing the shrinkage cavity defects.
