IMCS-1700HP is a High-Pressure induction melting/casting furnace which can granulate various alloys up to 2 kg at Max. 1700ÂșC under high-pressure Ar gases up to 10 bars, and also can be used to separate melt from slag or make composite by melt infiltration 
SPECIFICATIONS:

Induction Heating Power Source


  • Working Voltage: 220V AC, 50/ 60Hz, Three Phases (380VAC, 3phase available upon request)
  • Working Current: 10~86 Amps (100A breaker required)
  • Max. Input Power: 25 KW 
  • Output Frequency: 30 - 80 kHz 
  • Duty Cycle: 100%
  • Induction Coil: 170mm(ID) x 110 mm(H) 
  • Air Cooling: Rear Fan
  • Protection: Automatic water pressure, over-temperature, and overpower protection
  • Refractory Assembling: Complete refractory assembling made of alumina, including bottom crucible support, crucible holder, and cover
Melting Chamber ( Top)
   
  • The chamber is made of SS304 with a water cooling jacket to ensure surface temperature < 60ÂșC.
  • Chamber size: 350 mm
  • 10 bars ( 1 MPa max. working pressure with a safety release valve and safety cover
  • High-quality fibrous alumina insulation.
  • > 116 L/minute cooling water is required to cool the induction coil. May click the picture below to order one
Temperature Control
  • Precision temperature controller with 30 programmable segments
  • Automatic PID control with the protection of over-temperature and thermal couple failure.
  • Thermal couple: B type
  • Working temperature range: 500~1600, 1700 Max. (<1hour ).
  • Temperature stability : +/- 5 
  • Manual temperature control for the fast heating
    • 4/second(1000-1200)
    • 3/second(1200~1500)
    • 1~2/second (1500~1700)
Casting Chamber ( Bottom )

  • The bottom chamber is made of SS304 with a KF 25 vacuum port
  • Accommodates flasks 5'' diameters x 9" high is inside the bottom chamber to accept casting\
  • Vacuum requirement: 1bar (-29.9" Hg) at sea level
  • The digital vacuum gauge is included to monitor vacuum pressure
  • Double stage rotary vane vacuum pump is included with this casting system
 
Crucible

  • One set of high purity graphite crucible is included for max. 1000 g capacity ( Fe based alloy)
  • The crucible bottom is sealed from the bottom chamber to keep high pressure
  • A thermal insulation component is included.
  • A graduating crucible and grain-making tank is available at additional cost. for casting 1- 6 mm sphere bead
  • The customized graphite crucible for melt infiltration is available upon request.
