GSL-KR200 is a combustion gas module to dispose of residual flammable gas via a self-ignition heating coil. It is designed to pair with any MTI tube and atmosphere furnaces. It can also control the gas flow rate and communicate with a Honeywell hydrogen gas detector. It is a good choice for experiments under a reducing environment, such as hydrogen flow.

  • Applicable to dispose of various residual flammable gas along the exhaust line (designated gas needs to be discussed with MTI in advance).
  • Compact, modularized, and compatible with various MTI furnaces. 
  • Interlocks: in case of emergency, the gas flow and furnace heating will be cut off. 
    • Flammable gas leak is detected
    • Failure of a self-ignition heating coil
    • No flow at exhaust gas
  • One check valve to prevent gas backflow. 
  • Two solenoid valve allows users to choose the flow type, inert or flammable.

Hydrogen Gas Detector

  • The hydrogen gas detector is connected externally. If alarmed, the hydrogen gas and furnace heating function will be cut off.
  • The alarm is preset at 20% LEL for hydrogen.

Safety WARNING

  • If equipped with a tube furnace, a metallic mesh cover must be installed at both ends of the furnace tube in case of emergency

  • Operators must be trained by qualified technicians & follow the safety guideline of the laboratory
