High purity Y2O3 crucible is designed for melting Ti and Ti alloys, or any oxygen-sensitive melting process.

  • Shape: Cylindrical
  • Purity: Y2O3Ā > 99.5%
  • Density: 3.5Ā g/cm3Ā 
  • Max. Working Temperature: 2100 Co or 4000 F

Note:

  • Y2O3 is very brittle, please never heat and cool faster thanĀ 5°C/min. Otherwise, the crucible may crack.
  • Due to the inherent limitation of the hot isostatic pressing (HIP), the inner wall of the crucible may not be perfectly flat. This does not affect the usage of the crucible.
  • The crucible is produced using a casting process. Therefore, dimensional tolerance may vary within ±2 mm.
  • Due to the material and manufacturing process, minor block spots may appear on the surface of crucibles. This is normal and does not affect the usability of the crucible.

Warning:

  • Please DO NOT place Y2O3 crucibles on alumina and zirconia plates due to the chemical reactions. MTI is not responsible for potential chemical reaction which causes damage to the crucibles.

  • Please check the package for any damages before accepting delivery. If damages are detected, retain all packaging materials, document the condition with photos, and report the issue immediately to the carrier and MTI.
