High purity Y2O3 crucible is designed for melting Ti and Ti alloy, or any oxygen-sensitive melting process.

  • Purity:                                      Y2O3> 99.5%; 
  • Density:                                   3.5 g /cm3 
  • Max. working temperature:      2100°C or 4000 °F 
  • Note:
  • Y2O3 is very brittle, please never heat and cool faster than 5°C/min. Otherwise, the crucible may crack
  • Due to the inherent limitation of the hot isostatic pressing (HIP) process, the inner wall of the crucible may not be perfectly flat. This does not affect the usage of the crucible
  • Please refer to an article on Y2O3 crucible:  Potential of ceramic crucibles for melting of Ti alloy
  • Warning: Please do NOT place Y2O3 crucibles on alumina and zirconia plates due to the chemical reactions. MTI is not responsible for potential chemical reactions which causes damage to the crucibles
