AM-SFM-300 is an automated planetary ball mill with a maximum speed of 300 rpm ( sun wheel) rotation, featuring programmable speed, precision position, and an automatic clamping of the milling grinding jar.  It can be integrated with a robotic arm to achieve loading and unloading  8 jars and autonomous operation.

  • The top cover opens and closes automatically
  • Position sensor allows the milling jars to stop in the same position for easy loading and unloading
  • Four milling stations with a clamping fixture
  • Eight 50 ml jars with a YSZ ceramic liner are included
  • Max running speed:  sun wheel: 300 rpm, and self-rotation: 600 rpm
  • Optional robotic arm with PC operation to achieve autonomous operation

Recommended Material Size

Note: The output granularity is dependent on the material's physical properties, such as size, milling media, and processing time. Minimum granularity can be as small as 0.1 um according to the customer's feedback.

Milling Jars

  •  Eight stainless steel jars with a YSZ ceramic liner are included
  • Other material jars are available upon request

Noise Level

  •  80 dB

  • NRTL certification is available at an extra cost

Application Notes

  • To avoid contamination, please pre-milling the material 2-3 times before normally milling, which can make a coating on the surface of the jar and balls. Please use one jar for one type of material.
  • For milling the oxide material, please choose alumina/Nylon jars and zirconia media. DO NOT USE stainless steel balls in Alumina jars.
  • Must place 4 jars or 2 in a symmetrical configuration with similar weights in the ball mill to keep balance during rotation. If using one jar, you must put another jar with the same weight in a symmetrical position. Otherwise, unbalanced rotation, especially one jar, may damage the machine.
