2"Ā larger diameter Alumina tube is made with high purity Al2O3Ā material. Such anĀ alumina tube can be used at operating temperatures to 1700 oC in both oxidizing and reducing atmospheres. Tubes can be evacuated to 10-4Ā Torr via turbopump. It proves inert toĀ carbon and refractory metals in many severe situations.

SPECIFICATIONS

Purity Al2O3 > 99%, SiO2 < 0.25%, CaO+MgO < 0.3%
O.D 51mmĀ  + /- 1 mm
I.D 40mm +/- 2mm
Tube Length 1200 mmĀ

Warning
  • Do NOT use an alumina tube under a vacuum at a temperature > 1500 Ā°C for a 1-3" tube, and < 1200 Ā°C for a 3.15- 4ā€œ tube
  • Gas pressure shall be < 200 ccm
  • Max heating or cooling rate < 5Ā°C/ minute.
  • Please keep the thermal gradient less than 100Ā°C/ inch to avoid cracking in the multi-zone tube furnace
  • Please use a crucible to separate parts from the inside surface of the tube to avoid thermal shock.
  • Please handle the tube carefully. No warranty for the tube.
