300mm Width Slot-die Coater w/ SS316 Heating Vacuum Chuck (150°C, 500 L x 400mm W) - MSK-AFA-H500SD

The MSK-AFA-H500SD is a flat slot-die coater that can coat films up to 400 mm L x 380 mm W from 5 to 100 microns thickness. It has a 500mm L x 400mm W vacuum chuck and bottom heater, and a special slot-die fixture with three precision rollers on the bottom to make slot-die coating uniform at low cost. This makes it an excellent tool for fabricating thin films for perovskite solar cells, fuel cells, and batteries.

  • Vacuum chuck made of SS316 alloy with < 1.0 mm hole
    • Vacuum Chuck Dimensions: 500 mm (L) x 400mm (W) (19.7 “L x 15.7" W)
    • The chuck is heated up to 150ÂșC by a digital temperature controller with +/- 1ÂșC accuracy
  • Traverse Speed: 5 - 100 mm/sec variable
  • Traverse Length: 10 - 400 mm adjustable by the Adjustable Position Switch

Slot Die Fixture
  • A slot-die with 300 mm width is installed on a moveable fixture that has three precision rollers on the bottom (Pic. 1)
  • The pushing rod will push forward the slot-die head to coat the slurry on the substrate smoothly without touching the substrate
  • The gap between the coating blade and the substrate plate is adjustable with +/- 1-micron accuracy via dual digital micrometers (Pic. 2)
  • An optional multi-slid-die fixture is available upon request upon request at the extra cost. (Pic. 3-4)

  • Digital Controlled Syringe Pump
  • Holds syringes up to 60 mL
  • Remembers previous settings on power-up
  • Pumping rate: 25 mL/hr with a 60mL Syringe
