 Specifications of MgO Substrate
  • Size: 10mm x 10mm x 0.5mm +/- 0.05 mm  ( choose 1.0 mm thick at extra cost )
  • Orientation:  <100> +/-0.5° on surface,  <010> +/-1°on edge
  • Polish: One or two sides EPI polished by CMP technology with minimum sub-surface damage.
  • Surface finish (RMS or Ra)  : < 10A(By AFM 5x5 um 2 )
  • Packing: The substrate is packed  with a 100-grade clean plastic bag under 1000 class cleanroom 
  • Precautions:  MgO is sensitive to moisture, and must be stored in a vacuum box.
  •        
  • Warning:  MgO crystal was grown by arc melting method and natural cooling.  It is difficult to get uniform perfect crystal bulk. Please check the rocking curve for each substrate before depositing the film. We can provide rocking curve service at $50 each if someone has no capability to inspect.
