Application Notes	For vacuum sealing, please choose vacuum flanges at the related products below You may melt metal samples in a vacuum using a 60mm dia half-open quartz tube with a flange. Please click the picture on the left to see the details and order related products below (You will need to grind the crucible's top edge diameter to <54mm to fit into this quartz tube) Vacuum pressures may only be safely used up to 1000°C The flow rate for gases should be limited to<200 SCCM (or 200ml/min) for reducing thermal shocks to the tube Quartz tubes are designed for using under vacuum and low pressure < 0.2 bars / 3 psi / 0.02 MPa You may order some Refractory Material to support the crucible, and an Alumina Crucible Lid (45mm dia)
