MSK-TE500 is a Pressure & Leak Tester that runs two major testing against cylindrical battery housing and its anti-explosive safety cap:Ā 1)Ā Pressure decay testĀ to ensure that no electrolyte must leak out of the battery casing
2) Pressurization test to evaluate the electric cut-off and bursting pressure of the battery safety cap .
It is a necessary tool for physical evaluation and verification of battery housing before final cell assembling.

SPECIFICATIONS:

Machine Capabilities



  • Leak Test mode simulates an overpressurized condition inside of the battery housing and allows you to monitor the pressure decay over time. This test is to ensure that no electrolyte must leak out of the battery casing, more importantly, no moisture must get into the battery which will cause battery failure.
  • Pressurization test mode evaluates the electric cut-off and physical burst pressure of the battery safety cap. The dome-shaped aluminum piece will firstly detach from the base contactor (cause electric cut-off) and then burst when suffering from the overpressure.Ā 
  • Large touch panel control provides easy access to parameter settings such as testing pressure, pressure maintenance time, and ramp rate.
  • A precision pressure sensor records the real-time pressure change and draws curves
  • build-in air compressor establishes the pressure needed for testing
  • A manual nail penetrator is integrated to the right of the machine. An assembled cell needs to be punched before pressurization.
  • The USB port allows you to download the data for further analysis.

Standard Testing Die
  • One set of 18650 testing die is included in the package.Ā
