  • The 24VDC motor allows use in an Ar gas environment with the separated control unit

Standard Milling Jars & Media
  • Two sets of the milling jars ( nylon & SS ) are included ( total 4 jars)
    • One 80 ml nylon jar with Zirconia milling balls (5 pcs of Φ10mm, 10 pcs of Φ8mm, and 10 pcs of Φ5mm) is included. ( click Pic. 1&2 to order spare )
    • One 80 ml Stainless Steel Jar with SS milling balls (5 pcs of Φ10mm, 10 pcs of Φ8mm, and 10 pcs of Φ5mm) is included. ( Pic. 3 &4)
  • Option: High Throughput 4 Milling Cavities SS Mixing Jar is available as an option( click Pic. 5 to order)
  • WC, Si3N4, and Zirconia Jars are also available at an extra cost (Pic. 6 - 7 )

  • Attention: Max. feeding capacity shall be: < 1/3 jar's volume, around 15 g for grinding sample

  • Single-phase 110VAC or 240VAC 50/60Hz with the USA plug ( Change switch inside power supply )
  • Power consumption: 200 W
Control Unit
  • The separated control box for remote operation in a glove box or fume hood.
  • ( If using inside the glove box, you need to order KF40 feedthrough at an extra cost)
  • Speed control: 0 - 1500 rpm adjustable; operation below 250 rpm may result in strong resonance.
  • Time control: 0 - 30 minutes adjustable 
  • Five segments programmable via color touch screen for forwarding, backward rotation, and running time

 

  •  The estimated acceleration gravity: ~ 75G

Discharging Granularity
 0.1um minimum for oxide materials ( Mainly Al2O3 based on ceramic material )( See pic. left)
Note: To achieve finer or desired particles via ball mill is a research project, which is dependent on the material to be milled, grinding time and speed, combination of grinding jar and milling ball, etc. It is the user's responsibility to find the best milling procedure based on the material. Buyers are welcome to the MTI laboratory in California for testing before purchase.
